What am I doing teaching IT?
Patterns- graphics, images, identity, metaphor, mediated self.
I'd argue I'm the perfect person. Still the interpreter. Still the mediator, making a case for clarity of communication through an intermediary - this time a machine.
The question becomes what do I offer our students? What can I design / deign to teach them that will benefit them? and will feed my soul?
Some of my colleagues dig the technology. They love the gear. They like the puzzle and challenge of code.
Ain't my bag.
And I've struggled to feel my relevance. It isn't about technology, it's about the point where humanity and technology meet.
