A Sunday

A lovely Sunday and here I am at the office putting off for just a little longer looking at a stack of papers - actually two. This is so not a nine to five kind of job.

Listening to Joris Teepe, Bottom Line.

It behooves the students for me to be in a right frame of mind before tackling papers.

This involves me being at a relatively uncluttered desk, away from the kids. A water fountain at my side, decent music (unless I'm grading multiimedia sound projects), and a cup of coffee.

Forgot the coffee.

Oh, well. I guess I've got a few more minutes.

A few more of my comrades are here. Liz is next door. I popped in just to say "hi", but we're agreed that we're supposed to support one another in the grade day by not distracting each other.

Still, good to know she's there to yell to once in a while. Dee Bo (another prof) is also here. Same deal. We're all blasting our various flavors of music.

As much as I dislike grading, it's a good day, and I like where I am.
