Gabriel woke up as he ususally does. Sits up, finds me. He crawls on top, then over my body (whatever is opposite to where he was), moves my arm until it's just right, then nestles down again.
If I'm not there, he cries...or he climbs out of bed to find me.
I think
he thinks
I am still an extension of his body.
I think that is why he gets so mad at me when I don't do what he thinks I should be doing-- like some wayward appendage.
I think that when I am not there he thinks a part of himself is missing.
I wrote this.
Gabriel just woke up from his nap and climbed up into my lap and is now telling me to "Go!
Like a good pair of legs, I do.
