I know this because Liz told me via IM as she reads about us while she attends AOIR in Toronto.
Posted by weez at October 18, 2003 10:55 AMWow. Lots to read here today... thanks for all the goings-on at PopTech. I enjoyed watching the streaming video from the last conference online and hope they'll do the same with this year's highlights. Are you by chance there yourself? You lucky dawg.
I loved the Information Technology = Aesthetic Technology, or substance of style discussion. My perception of IT since coming back to school has been along those lines: the repackaging of technology into a more human and pleasing form for consumption. The element of style injected into the equation nets a logical sum and fits with what seems hot-topic today: it's not enough to be pleasing, we also want style, flair and attitude. Video game examples: Viewtiful Joe, Jak II, P.N.03 and XIII.
