connections

It hasn't been that long, really.

I only started doing this blog thing in June. Well shy of a blogiversary.

Yet, in this short time we have developed a cluster of sorts, interlinked like-minded folks with tangential arms. I can look at specific times that are milestones; the equivalent of crawling, first teeth -- don't think I've gotten to puberty. Like when Jill linked to me, or Chuck did, and so on. Each of these events is like a Jiffy-Pop incident.

The upshot of all this is that I find myself with friends. Folks I've never met whose lives I follow, for whom I have affection, whose well-being is of some concern to me. There is going to be a presentation here at RIT. I deleted the info because I took one look at the time which conflicted with my lecture. But I remember the topic is that one cannot have virtual love.

Something to think about. Love? Care? Friendship? Such heavy words when we deign to give them weight.

Anyway, Kathleen reports that she is fine and all good vibes sent her way should now be sent to folks in San Diego, in Simi Valley, and in Big Bear, where they need them more.
