102 degrees and holding

Discoveries at 2 in the morning after a call to the night nurse:
If the baby has a fever for three days - see the doctor. (This is day one and a half).

If his temperature goes past 105 - see the doctor.

Muscle spasms are perfectly normal with a high fever.

Another discovery:
Popsicles are good. Popsicles are good. (And are good trojan horses for liquid medication).

Just things to know...

When my daughter was little, I used to use rubbing alcohol to get the fever down. I've heard that's no longer in vogue, but it ALWAYS worked. I would take a little alcohol on a face towel and rub it on her back. Hope your baby is better really, really soon.

Let us know how it goes. I hope that your baby feels better soon.

Don't hesitate to call back the night nurse: that's what they're there for.
