Regarding your reading of Hamlet III i

    Dear Elouise,

What a wonderful job of Hamlet’s speech! I was hoping to read it myself (and still might) but you captured VERY well the proper emotion. Here is a man contemplating suicide! The prince is not simply having a philosophical debate with himself. He’s trying to decide whether he will continue to exist or not. To endure his family’s disloyalty to the memory of his father – which he takes upon his person as if they were rocks in slings or arrows to his heart – or to simply DIE. By the end of this speech, you can tell that he wants to but he just can’t bring himself to do it. Weighty matters indeed. It seemed everyone else was simply reading the words…you breathed life into them.

    Congratulations and best wishes,
    Russ
